Dolce and Gabbana 2017 summer fragrances, Light Blue Intense for him and her, have hit the local market.

The fragrances are an improved version from the hugely popular Light Blue which was introduced in 2001.

Dolce & Gabbana Africa brand manager Kirsty Roberts spoke highly of the brands and highlighted that they have so far been successful worldwide.

“The Light Blue Intense is an upgrade of the Light Blue that has been so successful worldwide. It is now available in local shops which include Catts, Edgars and Truworths.

“Light Blue pour Homme is a perfume for the modern man that captures the fresh, spicy and sensual scents of the Mediterranean, while the Light Blue perfume for woman is a fresh, floral-fruity scent for women that reflects the sensuality of the Mediterranean lifestyle,” said Ms Roberts at the launch held at a local hotel recently.

She said Light Blue has already scooped 14 international awards. According to the D & G catalogue, inspired by the iconic coastal island, master perfumer Olivier Cresp rewrites the feminine Light Blue into a deeper rendition, opening with crisp notes of lemon and Granny Smith apple that segues into a scintillating floral mix of marigold and jasmine accords.

Anchored by lustrous amber woods and musk, every spritz is a sensual awakening that wears like a vibrant Mediterranean paradise.

And in a similar vein, the Light Blue Eau Intense pour Homme takes on a potent depth, spun by creator Alberto Morillas into a cocktail that contrast freshness with masculine sensuality.

An infusion of aromatic juniper within an aquatic heart underscored by amber and musk lends the juice its heady intensity (as well as an extended sillage), while citrusy top notes of mandarin and frozen grapefruit delivers a cool and elegant twist to the cologne.
