November inflation increased significantly to 31,01 percent up 10,16 percentage points to 20,8 percent, according to ZimStat.

This was in line with expectations, given the price increases witnessed across the country.

The main contributors to inflation were food and non-alcoholic beverages whose inflation stood at 42,71 percent.

Non-food inflation rate was 25,40 percent with items such as clothing and stationery recording huge jumps in price increases.

This comes as payments for imports have to be made with increasingly scarce foreign currency, and in the process affecting imported goods.

Here’s how much more items cost in November 2018 compared to November 2017.
