CHINHOYI – Old Mutual Zimbabwe has opened their one-stop-shop branch in Chinhoyi to offer clients their main financial and banking services under the Greenzone shop brand name.

Speaking during the opening of the new branch in Chinhoyi Old Mutual Zimbabwe Group CEO and Old Mutual Rest of Africa CEOJonas Mushosho said:

“The commissioning of this Greenzone today symbolizes our faith in Africa, Zimbabwe and indeed Chinhoyi as a source of opportunity not only for us as a business but also for our customers.

“Customer centricity is not just another catch phrase for us, rather it is a business philosophy that recognizes that our long-term viability is the direct result of how well we listen to our customers and their needs while ensuring that those needs are purposefully built into all our products, services and offerings to the market,” explained Mushosho.

The newly opened Greenzone will offer life assurance, short term insurance, investment and CABS banking services amongst other products.

The company recently announced that it was repositioning its brand identity to reflect its pan-African origins as well as a new focus on customer centricity. The refreshed brand was unveiled on the 19th of August this year.

Mushosho added, “The Greenzone setup is not new to our business channel model it is a winning strategy that has been used in Bulawayo, Zvishavane, Harare, Masvingo, Chiredzi and the recently commissioned Mutare branch bringing the current number of Greenzones to eight.

“Being responsible to our customers is a key Old Mutual business pillar which this Greenzone and others like it along with many of our refurbished CABS branches help meet.

“The retail branches we are opening do not just expand our retail footprint for convenience and reduced travel distance to service points but they provide a critical presence which bolsters customer confidence in Old Mutual and its ability to provide solutions to their needs,” explained the company’s CEO.

Following its primary listing on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), and secondary relisting on the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange in June 2018, Old Mutual unveiled in August a vibrant new brand identity, to reflect a fresh customer-led approach and stronger focus on Africa.
